Offer to Purchase and Remove 5,000m3 of Asphalt Profilings from Road Surfacing Program

The City of Bayswater ('the City) is a metropolitan local government located approximately eight kilometres east of the Perth CBD. The City has an annual road re-surfacing program which is achieved through long term contractual arrangements for the supply and laying of asphalt. Up to now, the supply and laying contract has not included removal and disposal of the old road surface material (profilings) and that material has been stockpiled at the City's holding yard in Slade Street, Bayswater.

The City is planning to clear and remediate the Slade Street site for other purposes, and is seeking market interest in purchase and removal of the approximately 5,000m3 stockpile of asphalt profilings. The stockpile comprises clean material and is a mix of AC 7, AC 10, AC 14, FGG 7, FGG 10, SMA 7, SMA 10 and SMA 14 which should be suitable for re-processing in line with the emerging market for Recycled Asphalt pavement (RAP).

Offers are now sought from contractors to purchase and remove the stockpile as soon as possible. The City is receptive to alternative offers.

The profilings stockpile can be viewed by prior arrangement with the Project Officer.
