Tender Description
Landowners within 100km of the Newell Highway from Narrabri to Boggabilla are invited to contact us about protecting native vegetation areas of their property under a Biodiversity Stewardship Site.
Benefits to landholders entering a Biodiversity Stewardship Agreement include:
. guaranteed, regular management payments
. opportunity costs reimbursed along with an agreed profit margin
. control over long-term management of your land incorporating conservation
. TfNSW support to undertake ecological investigations.
We are seeking properties with grasslands, grassy woodlands or semi arid woodland vegetation communities. The properties would ideally include habitat for:
. Fauna species including: pale headed snake and pale imperial hairstreak
. Flora species including: natural grasslands, Queensland bluegrass, Mitchell grass, finger panic grass, Belson's panic grass, Belah woodland, poplar box, weeping myall, Carbeen and Coolabah grassy woodland, Mock Olive - Wilga - Peach Bush - Carissa semi-evergreen vine thicket
