Request for Proposal (RFP) for Transport and Disposing of Oil

⁠⁠⁠TasNetworks owns and operates two oil management facilities to manage assets which includes transformers and other equipment that contain oil. Normal operation and maintenance activities require clean oil to be added to the assets, removal and disposal of waste oil, transportation of equipment which may be new or used and may contain clean, reusable or waste oil.

Some of TasNetworks assets contain polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) which contaminate both the waste oil and the asset. PCB contaminated oil and equipment is required to be stored, handled, transported and disposed of in conformance with national and state legislative requirements and Dangerous Good Transportation, depending upon the level of PCB contamination.
TasNetworks is seeking proposals for the transport and disposal of oil.
