Tamworth Sewer Flow Monitoring
Tender ID: 450723
Tender Details
Tender Description
Tamworth Regional Council has a comprehensive Sewer Servicing Strategy which includes a dynamic operational model. Analysis of this model has identified sections of the reticulation system which will require upgrades, including augmentations of trunk mains and major sewer pump stations.
This analysis has to date been based on a theoretical model representing peak wet weather loadings. Limited data from SCADA and/or anecdotal information has been used to validate the model but the model has not been calibrated. In order to ensure that future upgrades are appropriately sized, a calibrated model is required. The collection of sewer flow gauging data will provide information to characterise the response of the sewerage system during wet weather events.
The overall goal of flow gauging is to provide data for the calibration of the hydraulic and hydrologic model of the Westdale WWTP. In order to achieve this goal, data will be collected to:
- Characterise hydraulic conditions in the sewerage system; and
- Observe the frequency and duration of capacity problems (e.g. surcharge or overflow).
Quotes are being sought to undertake collection of this data.
The Principal is not bound to accept the lowest or any Quote. A Quote is not accepted until notice in writing of acceptance is transmitter by e-mail to the quoting company's email address.
Companies must not consider that their Quote has been accepted unless written notice, as above, has been received.
Further information regarding this request for quotation can be obtained from Jeremy Back, Water Engineer on (02) 6767-5816 or j.back@tamworth.nsw.gov.au.
