Brisbane Metro major infrastructure works - Depot Power Supply and Depot Fibre Optic Infrastructure Works

⁠⁠⁠Brisbane Move is seeking for EOIs from suitably qualified companies for the construction of the access road at the proposed Depot as part of the Brisbane Metro Project.

The scope of works comprises, but is not limited, to the following:

General Inclusions
o Subcontractor must ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and conduct work in compliance with QLD and project specifications; and
o Subcontractor is responsible for the provision and management of traffic, environmental, quality, testing, materials, labour, supervision and safety controls required to complete the work.

Civil Works
o Demolition of existing concrete barriers and the relocation of utilities in agreement with Brisbane Move and DTMR;
o Earthworks and site level changes to accommodate proposed design for the access road;
o Construction of new Single Slope Concrete Barrier (TMS DS 1458) and Type 3 Concrete Channels to tie-in to existing along Southeast Busway;
o Construction of terminals for guardrail installation by others;
o Formation of drainage berm behind barrier to tie-in to drainage channels from triple-cell culvert;
o Construction of rip rap scour at culvert inlets;
o Construction of kerbing (Type 8 kerb) to form a median on the access road; and
o Line marking works including removal of existing line marking and re-painting to design.

Civil Electrical Works
o Install of underground electrical conduits and cables transversely across the access road;
o Install of underground electrical conduit and cables within the median and placement of protective concrete;
o Install of electrical and communications conduits and cables within new barriers along Southeast Busway;
o Protection of and tie-in works to existing electrical and communications conduits in existing barriers along Southeast Busway;
o Relocation of existing electrical and communications cables in existing barriers along Southeast Busway.
o Install of LED lights with dual and single outreach; and
o Removal of existing luminaires along Southeast Busway.

Drainage Works
o Construction of triple-cell stormwater culvert of size 2700 x 750 (approximately 50m in length);
o Construction of open drainage channels to tie-in to existing;
o Construction of 375mm diameter underground stormwater pipe and corresponding pits. Subcontractor to allow for provisions to extend stormwater pipe under the Southeast Busway also;
o Construction of new pits along Southeast Busway; and
o Construction of ACO drains on Access Road.

Pavement Works
o FRP of Joint Reinforced Concrete Pavement (JRCP) to form the access road;
o FRP of Median to form the median for the access road; and
o Reinstatement of Southeast Busway upon installation of stormwater pipe extension.
