Tender Description
Project jointly funded by the Queensland Government (Queensland Reconstruction Authority) and the Herbert River Improvement Trust under the State’s Natural Disaster Resilience Program. The proposed modification works will improve the resilience and functionality of this flood mitigation levee.
The levee is 3 kilometres long and was constructed in 2006. it includes 2.25km of earth levee and 0.7 km of masonry block levee. The proposed works will raise the crest of the levee by 200mm and strengthen the levee for major flood conditions
Works required include earthworks, masonry block and concrete works.

A site inspection will be arranged on Tuesday 23 March 2021. Arrangements will be advised and Tenderers should notify the Secretary if they wish to attend.
The tender assessment will generally be made on price, but the Trust reserves the right to also consider experience, available plant and equipment, and local content.
Tenders close at noon, Wednesday 31 March 2021 with the Secretary, Herbert River Improvement Trust.
