Tender Description
Tauranga City Council invites tenders for the above contact.
The Contract Works under consideration includes one separable portion, the Contract Works are subject to Waka Kotahi funding approval. These Contract Works are not limited to:
Contract Works: Totara Street Shared Path and Separated Cycleway
- Shared path between Hewletts Road and Kawaka Street and a separated two way cycle facility between Kawaka and Nikau Crescent.
- Signalised crossings at Waimarie Street, Triton Avenue, Hull Road, Totara Street (CH1960)
- Unsignalised raised table crossings at the entrance to Kawaka Street and Nikau Crescent.
- Implementation of new parking layouts for private businesses between Triton Avenue and Hull Road.
- Minor landscaping at key nodes and the retail precinct between Hull Road and Triton Avenue.
- Incorporating of cultural pavement marking elements at conflict points.
- Relocation of overhead power lines
- Provisional items to upgrade streetlighting at specific high-risk areas.
- New wayfinding and general road signage
- Upgrade to stormwater main
- Upgrade AC raising sewer main
- Separable Portion 1: Hewletts Road/Totara Street Slip Lane (provisional)
- Widening the shared path on the eastern alignment of Totara Street,
- Signalisation of slip lane on Hewletts Road and Totara Street.
- Replacement of the existing splitter island and widening the onroad pedestrian crossing
- Relocating existing street lighting and signage
- Pavement milling, SMA placement and pavement marking
