Tender Description
Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from appropriately qualified and experienced operators to manage the sites.
Councils objectives include the following:
Scarborough Park Tennis Courts:
a) Identify and install an operator to oversee the management and coordination of the courts.
b) Increase upon the existing level of service provided at the facility, including the development and delivery of recreational and sporting programs, services and auxiliary offerings.
c) Deliver a pro shop or similar service from the site.
d) Foster and nurture existing relationships with relevant sporting associations and peak bodies including:
(i) Illawarra Suburbs Lawn Tennis Association
(ii) Tennis NSW and
(iii) Tennis Australia
e) Foster and nurture existing relationships with a range of individual players, social groups, coaches and tennis professionals;
f) Provide passive oversight over the precinct and communicate back observations to Council for action;
g) Feed into and contribute towards Council's Community Strategic Plan;
h) Focus on and support the development and furthermost of tennis across all levels;
i) Provide ongoing operational and capital investment into the facility to ensure its longevity.
Mutch Park Tennis and Squash Courts
a) Identify and install an operator to oversee the management and coordination of the facility on behalf of Council.
b) Increase upon the existing level of service provided at the facility, (including the development and delivery of recreational and sporting programs, services and auxiliary offerings).
c) Foster and nurture existing relationships with relevant sporting associations and peak bodies including:
(i) Squash NSW
(ii) Tennis NSW
(iii) Squash Australia
(iv) Tennis Australia
d) Provide passive oversight over the precinct and communicate back observations to Council for action;
e) Feed into and contribute towards Council's Community Strategic Plan.
f) Focus on and support young people by providing affordable and accessible participation in specialised recreational and sporting activities.
g) Focus on and support the development and furthermost of tennis and squash across all levels.
h) Provide ongoing operational and capital investment into the facility to ensure its longevity.
