Tender Description
THE ORGANISATION
Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation which is responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network which connects over 1.1 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources.
Background
Western Power is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations who can deliver a range of Diversity and Inclusion themed education workshops and activities. The providers will be required to deliver these services on an ongoing ad hoc basis and collaborate with the Western Power Diversity and Inclusion Committee to choose the correct approach for each individual.
Objectives
The objectives are to deliver services appropriate for Western Power’s requirements in the diversity and inclusion space. Successful vendors shall be informed of Western Power’s corporate aims and priority focus areas.
Scope of Work
Western Power is looking for companies that have experience working with large private organisations or organisations within the public sector.
The successful vendors must integrate Adult Learning Principles in the delivery of training outcomes to a diverse employee cohort so the participants will be able to take what they have learnt from engaging with the activity and use it in another context, or for another purpose via one or all of the below:
Interactive workshops
Engage the participants actively in learning new information and techniques in a hands-on interactive manner. The workshop facilitator will make it possible for participants to contribute to the conversation through technology or role-playing group exercises in class.
Activity based training sessions
Assist participants to understand concepts, using an informative approach to common issues and scenarios. Use a range of play based activities such as role play, problem solving and interactive games, then participants develop individual strategies that will assist them in strengthening their skills and normalise the stages of adapting to change.
Team Building Activities
Provide tools designed to assist teams and leaders in overcoming common team challenges and unlock formulas for success. The facilitator will cover topics including: improving communication, tapping into creativity, maximising resources, overcoming resistance, dealing with change in a positive way, and increasing alignment.
