Tender Description
Logan City Council is releasing an Early Tender Notice Release, prior to the Request for Tender for Mowing and Slashing Services (Zones 1 to 12) being scheduled to be released on Friday, 26 March 2021.
The purpose of this Early Tender Notice Release is to give tenderers the additional time required to:
- Inspect the zones in accordance with the maps provided, with the intent of providing a competitive pricing submission per zone/separable portion (Attachment A)
- Inspect the zones in accordance with the maps provided, with the intent of providing proposed traffic management per site. In this tender process we will be looking for an indication of what level of traffic management will be applied to each mowing area. Costs for traffic management should NOT be included in the pricing for each area. Traffic Management will be charged according to a schedule of rates which will be addressed during the Tender process.
It is Council's intent to award contractors and/or multiple separable portions as follows:

The mowing maps provided by Council are an indicative spatial representation only and therefore do not always accurately represent the full extent of mowing coverage. Therefore, Council strongly recommends that tenderers physically visit each contract site, to assess the full extent of mowing coverage required (according to existing on-site mowing patterns), the level of traffic management needed and to also understand each sites individual characteristics and requirements when determining the contract price.
The tenderer can obtain a digital copy of the Geographical Information Systems data representing contract mowing sites upon request. These maps can be provided in .shp (ArcGIS files) or .kmz (google earth) file formats. The tenderer must sign a Digital Data Agreement with Council in order to access these maps.
Please take the above separable portion preferences into account when inspecting zones and formulating pricing.
