Tender Description
Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) commissioned a Consultancy to perform an irrigation and soil condition assessment for Boyne Island & Tannum Sands (BITS) Golf Course, BITS Sports Ground and Dennis Park Sports Complex in May 2020.
The condition assessment report has detailed findings and issues regarding the existing irrigation system. These include, but not limited to, an ageing irrigation system nearing end of its useful life, under sized irrigation main lines and pumping units, poor performance & even distribution of water, waterlogging & ponding in certain irrigation areas, insufficient water meters and telemetry to monitor inflow rates and water usage and no back-up potable water supply for flushing the irrigation system or to maintain turf cover when recycled water is not available.
GRC requires the services of a Certified Irrigation Designer to undertake Detailed Design to replace the existing recycled water irrigation system with a new system that is efficient and with provision for future system expansion particularly to cater for additional holes or sports fields.
