Construction of 16.4km of the Bright to Harrietville shared trail, known as the Great Valley Trail (GVT)

The Alpine Shire requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the construction of the Bright to Harrietville shared trail, known as the Great Valley Trail (GVT). This contract is for the construction of 16.4km of trail between the Tawonga Gap Road, Germantown and Stony Creek Road, Harrietville.

Previously constructed sections of the trail completed 5km from Bright to Germantown at the North end and 5km from Stony Creek Track (the Trout Farm) to Harrietville at the South end. The completed Great Valley Trail will provide a 26km long shared trail linking Bright, Freeburgh, Smoko and Harrietville.
