Tender Description
The BreastScreen NSW State Coordination Unit (SCU) is responsible for the procurement of capital equipment associated with the BreastScreen NSW (BSNSW) program. In 2015, Cancer Institute NSW (the Institute) procured thirteen mobile screening vans to replace the existing fleet to enable continued screening of women across NSW. The vans are equipped with Toshiba Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) which have the purpose of regulating the power supply to the modality, and to provide battery power enabling a graceful shutdown of systems in the event of a loss of power. Due to their age, the UPS components need to be replaced in accordance with manufacturer advice. Further information about the current UPS model can be found in Attachment B.
An annual UPS service support model for the fleet would also be beneficial to conduct preventive maintenance and ensure the safe operation of the UPS. Mobile vans each move approximately once a month within locations across the state. Service technicians would need to be able to travel to locations within metropolitan, regional and rural sites within NSW.
