Tender Description
PIRSA requires an independent contractor to perform observer services for the South Australian Sardine Fishery, which is located predominately in the Spencer Gulf and West Coast regions of South Australia.
The fundamental purpose of the observer program is to provide fisheries managers, research organisations, environmental agencies, the fishing industry and the wider community with independent, reliable, verified and accurate information on the fishing activities, practices of the vessels operating in the Sardine Fishery and success of the Code of Practice.
The contractor will be required to observe coverage aboard boats and record the information required in the approved format (to be provided) with regard to sardine samples.
