Cairns Regional Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake random drug and alcohol testing. Council requires drug and alcohol testing services, which will apply to all persons who carry out work in any capacity for the Principal. This includes work as a Council employee, contractor or subcontractor, labour hire or temporary worker, apprentice or trainee, work experience student or volunteer. The Contractor is required to undertake a range of testing procedures or specimens, including oral fluids (saliva), urine and alcohol testing, and must have a mobile testing facility and testing must be NATA accredited or be sent to a NATA accredited laboratory.
Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close three days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.
We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.
Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Tuesday 2 March 2021. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.
Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.
Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.
Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 90 days from the Closing Time.
