Tender Description
The Department requires the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of two new Roll On Roll Off (RoRo) Loading Ramps at the Bruny Island Ferry Terminals at Kettering and Roberts Point, Tasmania which include the linkspan, transition plate, hoisting tower and lifting frame and the ramp positioning system.
The new RoRo ramps are to be height adjustable to accommodate tide height changes, ferry trim changes, and variations in sea state, to ensure the ramp to ferry transition is trafficable for vehicles and pedestrians at all times during the ferry loading and unloading sequences. The battery limits for the RoRo loading ramps consist of the abutment, the jacking tower support and the vessel.
