Upper Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a tender from suitably qualified contractor to construct a package of water and sewer mains in Crookwell and Gunning, using AS 4000-1997 Construction Contract. The project consists of three mains, two are new gravity sewer reticulation mains, and one replacement water reticulation main. The mains are required to be constructed in the following order, Gunning sewer main, and Crookwell sewer main then Crookwell water main.

1. Gunning sewer main, Biala Street Gunning, is approximately 186 metres, 150mm gravity sewer main and manholes. This main has four under road boring with a 100mm pipe to be used as a conduit for low pressure sewer connections to the blocks to be serviced.
2. Crookwell gravity sewer main, Saleyards Road Crookwell, will be approximately 634metres, 200mm with a minimum 10 manholes plus a 10kl storm detention surge manhole. One creek crossing which will require underboring of the creek.
3. Crookwell potable, Carrington Street Crookwell, is approximately 300metres, 100mm Blue Brute class 16. This project will include 7 right hand close stop valves, 6 hydrants and 2 100mm tees, all metal is to have protective coatings. There is 14 X 20mm domestic water connection (any galvanized pipes to be replace by copper), and 3 services will require 32mm underboring of the road. Note: This is an RMS road. The water main is to be bedded in sand not metal dust.
These projects are to be completed are to be completed in the above order and in the same works program. Council's preference is for Hume's manholes and all hydrants, manholes and valve covers are to be trafficable and ground level. All connection to Council's infrastructure will be undertaken with Council staff supervision, the water main replacement is to be conducted with no disruption to supply except for the cut-in.
The installations are to be in accordance with the WIOA water and sewer main installation guidelines and to comply with all Australian Standards. The project will be using AS4000 General Construction Contract. A compulsory site meeting will be conducted on 28th January, 2021 at Crookwell, then travelling to Gunning.
