The Regional Cultural Fund (RCF) was established by the NSW Government to support the development of cultural infrastructure (including digitisation) in regional NSW that delivers recreational and educational benefits through diverse cultural projects, boosting community participation and cultural tourism.
Over two rounds, $100 million was shared across 136 projects, ranging from major new exhibition and performing arts spaces, refurbishment of libraries, theatres and museums through to small, grass-roots community projects and digitisation efforts.
A funding round has now been established to increase digitisation capabilities in regional NSW. Local Councils are invited to apply for funds to become an established best practice digitisation hub, and formally partner with smaller museums in their region.
Applications for the Regional Cultural Fund Digitisation Round opened Monday 14 December and will close Friday 29 January 2021 at 5:00 PM AEDT.
