The City of Bayswater is a metropolitan local government located east of the Perth CBD.

There are three artificial lakes (Lake Bungana, Lake Brearley and Brickworks Lake) in the suburb of Maylands. Lake Bungana was dredged in 2019 to remove accumulated sediment as part of a strategy to improve the water quality, and the City is now looking to dredge the adjoining Lake Brealey.

A technical report on water quality findings and recommendations for Lake Brealey has been prepared for the City by GHD, and is provided as part of the tender package.
