Tender Description

Sydney Metro advises that an upcoming invitation for Registrations of Interest associated with the installation and commissioning of construction power, construction water and stormwater diversions for the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport project is scheduled to be advertised on or around 22 January 2021.

Sydney Metro will invite suitably experienced and appropriately qualified entities to participate in the procurement process for a contractor to install and commission construction power, construction water and stormwater diversions (the “Works”) for Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport project.

It is expected the Works will include:

• power supply for Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) from Claremont Meadows Substation to Orchard Hills Intermediate Services Facility, with associated underbores under the M4 Motorway at Kent Road;

• power supply for TBMs from Kemps Creek Substation to the Western Sydney Airport site with associated underbores under Kemps Creek;

• construction power supply for the below sites:

- St Marys;

- Airport Business Park;

- Southern Intermediate Services Facility; and

- Aerotropolis;

• construction water supply for the below sites:

- Airport Business Park; and

- Aerotropolis;

• stormwater diversion at St Marys adjacent to the railway station;

• concurrent management of work sites; and

• utility diversions as required to facilitate the Works.

 

Suitably experienced contractors (or their nominated subcontractors) will be required to hold the following qualifications in order to be considered by Sydney Metro for successful registration:

(a) Level 1 Accredited Services Provider (ASP1) with NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment (DPIE) and the relevant authority (Endeavour Energy);

(b) Sydney Water accredited service provider (major works);

(c) TfNSW Authorised Engineering Organisation accreditation for the works (relevant for the stormwater diversions within and affecting the rail corridor at St Marys); and

(d) Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) Accreditation.

 

On or around 22 January 2021 contractors will be requested to register their interest (in accordance with the invitation) prior to the closing date and time (which is currently schedule to be 5 February 2021).
