Tender ID: 442265
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Principal (Geological Survey of NSW (GSNSW)) requires the provision of offshore coring services to characterise the sand and assess its suitability for beach nourishment, in the Stockton Bight. The exploration will be undertaken on an offshore mineral exploration title.
The services will involve the collection of between 30?70 shallow sediment cores (to depths up to 6 metres or until refusal). An option to acquire up to 100?line kilometres of electrical resistivity sub?bottom profiling (SBP), is also requested. A decision on whether to proceed with this option will be decided by the Principal prior to the start of the resistivity SBP survey depending on the results of previous seafloor mapping surveys. It is expected that the project will commence mid?March 2021, for a period of up to 1 month. Tendering contractors will be required to provide all necessary equipment, including vessel, equipment, coring equipment, and other consumables, as well as adequately experienced and trained personnel to carry out sediment coring and electrical resistivity sub?bottom profiling services.
The contractors must operate within the NSW regulatory framework including compliance with relevant workplace health and safety and environmental protection legislative instruments.
