The Waimakariri District Council (WDC) is currently investigating replacement of approximately 21 existing Septic Tank Effluent Pumping (STEP) systems in the Fernside and potentially approximately 75 existing STEP systems in Tuahiwi with Single Property Pressure Sewer Systems, these upgrades will connect to a new pressure sewer pipeline within the road reserve, which will be constructed as part of a separate contract.
This project will involve supply and installation of either E/One or AquaTech pressure sewer pumping stations in private land at each of the properties, installation/connection of associated infrastructure between the pumping station and house (gravity lateral) and between the pumping station and the boundary kit/existing main (PE lateral) and demolition of existing STEP infrastructure.
This invitation for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from contractors is the first step in the process to select a contractor to deliver this project.
