Level 2 Bridge Inspections - Northern Region 2021-22

⁠⁠⁠Transport for NSW (TfNSW) Infrastructure Services Northern Region are inviting tenders from appropriately qualified Professional Services Contractors to carry out Level 2 inspections of selected bridges in the TfNSW Northern Bridge Asset inventory.

Bridges for inspection in this contract are those due for inspection up to the end of June 2022, with a total of 1239 structures requiring inspection.

Due to the large volume of bridge structures that require inspection under this project, it is proposed to structure this procurement as a single Request for Tender and create two contracts across two geographical areas of the Northern region, North zone (682 structures) and South zone (557 structures).

Transport for NSW will use the outcome of the inspections for future monitoring, remediation and management activities as part of its long term management strategy of bridge infrastructure asset maintenance.

This is an open tender public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender however tenderers will need to demonstrate that nominated Level 2 bridge inspections and reporting are completed by a TfNSW approved bridge inspector, as certified by the TfNSW Director Bridges and Structures. This is a mandatory requirement of submitting a tender and evidence of this qualification is to be submitted with the tender. The tender is also to demonstrate that the inspector has recent and relevant inspection experience with TfNSW road bridges and the Bridge Information System (BIS).
