Micromobility Operators - Permit Application

⁠⁠⁠From 1 January 2021, rental share scheme operators will require a permit to operate in Dunedin under the new Trading in Public Places Bylaw. This Registration of Interest is inviting interested micro mobility operators to register their interest to apply for a permit to operate. Initial permits will be from 1 January 2021 till 30 June 2021. An annual permit may be applied from 1 July 2021 and a fee will apply from then.

Interested operators should clearly set out a detailed plan of how they intend to deliver a safe and efficient rental scheme for the ratepayers of Dunedin. Dunedin City Council will assess these registrations of interest and may, in its sole discretion, allow more than one operator in Dunedin.
