Tender Description
Council is seeking expressions of interest to fill a vacancy on its Tourism Committee. The Committee is comprised of three Council nominees (Tim Jackson, Dean Miller and vacancy), and three nominees from CPRBTA (Vacant Chair, Nicko Farantouris and Jason Wright).
The role of the Committee is to:
a. Prepare a business plan for the operation of the Visitor Information Centre by 31 December annually.
b. Prepare a draft budget for Council’s tourism activities by 30 April annually. Council is responsible for adopting the budget.
c. Oversee the disbursement of Council tourism funds in accordance with the approved budget and other Council requirements.
d. Set strategies for the operation of the Visitor Information Centre and other Council tourism activities in Coober Pedy.
e. Oversee the operation of the Visitor Information Centre and other Council tourism activities in Coober Pedy.
f. Present Council with an interim report of the Committee’s activities and tourism matters by 31 December annually, and an annual report by 30 August annually.
