Tender Description
Whanganui District Council (WDC) are inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors for laying the 250mm (877 meters - open cut) and the 125mm (30 meters - Directional Boring) water main from Clarkson Avenue, along Mosston Road to Tayforth Road.
The scope of work includes but is not restricted to:
- The installation ONLY of principal-supplied water main materials, of a length of 877 meters of DN250 PE pipe by open cut trenching, and a length of 30 meters of DN125mm PE pipe by using the directional boring method.
- The installation of seven new fire hydrants, three Valves and associated streetwear.
- All chambers and/or other structures as required by the design drawing.
- Relocation/realignment of all other utilities that may be required in order to deliver the scope.
- Private connections where needed.
- Flushing, disinfection and pressure testing of new pipeline.
- Incorporation of materials supplied by the Principal into the contract works.
- Planned work shut-offs with appropriate public notice.
- Management of high groundwater conditions if necessary.
- Full reinstatement in line with existing conditions.
- As-built documents preparation.
