Tender Description
Oura pump station is located at Gumly Gumly Island on the northern side of the Murrumbidgee River, just east of Wagga and was constructed in 1975. Water is extracted from four bores, treated by way of aeration, chlorination and fluoridation, before pumping to balance tanks at Junee for distribution.
The power transformers, protection and control systems, and the associated power cables are 44 years old, placing them at the end of their useful lives.
This Tender is for the construction of a new switch room and associated civil works to facilitate this replacement.
In brief the requirements of this tender include:
· Construction of new switch room, including building services
· Supply and installation of a new communications tower
· Construction of a numerous concrete pads for the future installation of HV equipment
· Supply and Installation of pits and conditions
· Supply and installation of earth grid
· Installation of storm water management infrastructure
· Construction of roads and
· Remediation of site once construction is complete
Note installation of the high voltage equipment will be undertaken by others, however, electrical building services is included in this scope of work.
