Tender Description
Whanganui District Council (WDC) are inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors for replacing the existing water-main from 26 Sedgebrook Street to Nile Street.
The scope of work includes but is not restricted to,
- Installation of all related 125mm (OD) diameter MDPE pipe replacement works (length 102 meters) by using a directional boring and excavation method as per concept drawing.
- Welding of the pipes, bends and fittings.
- Installation of 1 new fire hydrant, 1 combine tee and a 63mm tapping band & valve.
- Incorporation of materials supplied by the Principal into the contract works.
- Planned work shut-offs with appropriate public notice.
- Disconnection and decommissioning of the existing mains.
- Private connections as required.
- Flushing, disinfection and pressure testing of new pipeline.
- Full reinstatement in line with existing conditions.
- Relocation/realignment of all other utilities that may be required in order to deliver the scope.
