Suction Equipment, Consumables and Accessories to Western Australian Health Service Providers

⁠⁠⁠Health Support Services (HSS) is seeking to establish a whole of Health standing offer arrangement for the supply of suction equipment, consumables and accessories. This will be a standing offer arrangement (Head Agreement), with orders (Customer Contracts) placed on an ‘as required’ basis over the term. The Customers are WA Health Service Providers and the Department of Health.

The scope of the arrangement will include equipment, wall suction canisters, liners and single-use disposable suction catheters that are used in hospitals, particularly operating theatres and general wards, for patients (adult, paediatric and neonatal) who require airway maintenance assistance and various surgical procedures.  

The Contract will comprise of the following product categories and subcategories, with a full list of product requirements provided in ‘HSS106620 Attachment 2 – Schedules 2 and 3’:

The Respondent may Offer for one or multiple product categories.

The Head Agreement established as a result of this Request may be awarded in any of the following ways:

• To a single supplier for individual line items within each category / sub category; or
• To multiple suppliers for individual line items within each category / sub-category.

The Contract Authority reserves the right to award each category or sub-category based on the arrangement that offers the best value for money for that group.

The Contract Authority reserves the right to part award the Contract.  The Contract Authority may at its discretion, commence the Head Agreement prior to all issues being resolved for all preferred Respondents.

The resultant Head Agreement will constitute a standing Offer, whereby Customers can place orders on an ‘as required’ basis during the Term.

HSS is seeking pricing for the Term of the Head Agreement, which is five years. The Contract Authority has three,1-year extension options to extend the Term.

The Contract Authority will consider pricing offered for these alternative options and award based on value for money considerations.
