Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Flinders Shire Council (“Council”) is the registered owner of Lot 1on Plan RP 740594 in freehold and trustee lessee of Lot 131 on Crown Plan DG 172, which is located at McLaren Street, Hughenden (“the Land”). The Land contains the Hughenden Saleyards and Dipping Facility.
Pursuant to section 228(2)(a) of the Local Government Regulation 2012, this Request for Tender invites parties to submit tenders to enter into a Services Agreement with Council, for the management and operation of the Hughenden Saleyards and Dipping Facility pursuant to one of the two alternative management proposals (below) contained in this Request for Tender:
Option 1 – Management Agreement: which includes some Council involvement in the operation of the Saleyards & Dipping Facility, as per the terms of the proposed Management Agreement (refer Section E, Option 1 of this document); or
Option 2 – Lease: which includes negligible Council involvement in the operation of the Saleyards & Dipping Facility, as per the terms of the proposed Lease (refer Section E, Option 2 of this document).


If Tenderers wish to do so, Tenderers may submit Tenders for more than one of the above two options. Council reserves the right to select any alternative Tender submitted.
Tenders will be assessed by reference to the Conditions of Tendering in Section C of this Request for Tender. Tenderers must complete and submit the Response Schedule contained in Section D of this Request for Tender.
Tenderers may submit a Tender that contains different terms from the proposed Services Agreements. However, such Tenders will be treated as Non-Conforming Tenders.
