Tender Description
AWE Perth Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) and is the operator of various onshore northern Perth Basin assets on behalf of itself and its joint venture partners.
AWE Perth Pty Ltd (“Company”) is planning to drill 4+2 development wells in the Waitsia Field, which is located some 17 km south-east of Dongara, Western Australia.
It is currently expected that drilling will commence in Q4 2021 or Q1 2022 subject to approvals being obtained from the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety and approval of the project Final Investment Decision (FID) which is currently planned for December 2020.
General Scope of Supply:
The scope of work under this procurement package is for the provision of an onshore drilling rig and associated services.
Rig Specifications:
The drilling rig package shall be in good working order and fulfil the necessary technical requirements to conduct safe and highly efficient drilling operations within the onshore Western Australian operating environment and be suitable to operate in compliance with the requirements of the Western Australian Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act (WAPGERA).
All equipment to be provided by the Contractor to perform the services shall be accompanied with full specifications, stating manufacturer, model numbers, ratings and capacities. The Contractor’s complete IADC equipment list (or equivalent) for the rig shall be included in the response to this EOI.
The required main system specifications are provided in Attachment 1.
While it is understood that it may not be possible to locate a rig with all of these specifications, preference will be given to drilling rigs that closely match the required specifications or drilling rigs that can by addition of equipment at Contractor’s cost be upgraded to closely match the required specification.
