Tender Description
Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors for drainage works at 29 Rotherwood Road, Ivanhoe East through ROW which connects to Townsend Street, Ivanhoe East.
The investigation into flooding at 29 Rotherwood Road , Ivanhoe East has highlighted flooding within the subject property particularly in the 1 % AEP storm event. This supports the recorded historical flooding at the subject property. The existing drainage (375mm) has close to a 20 % AEP capacity however there is still some breakaway flow under existing conditions in the order of 50 L/s. In the 1 % AEP the flow through the property is in the order of 730 L/s. . The optimised pipe size required was confirmed to be a 750mm pipe along Rotherwood Road (the existing pipe is a 375mm). In addition to this, pit upgrades work would be required in front of 29 Rotherwood Road to increase the inlet capacity to convey the 1 % AEP storm event (with 50% blockage allowance):
- DBYD, Service Locating and site establishment
- Construct 750mm diameter RCP Class 2 pipe for approximately 240Lm
- Existing 300mm diameter pipe to be cut back and connect to new Install inlet pit with 4(900x600) weaved grated pit cover as per construction drawing.
- Rebuild existing grated trench as per construction drawing
- Reconstruct existing side entry pit as per construction drawing
- Existing 225mm diameter to be cut back and connect to new Install Junction pits with different variance depths 1000 x 750 Riser as per construction drawings.
- Remove existing grated junction pit as per construction drawing.
