Brisbane City Council is now seeking tender applications for the lease of a community facility located at 1A Othaki Road, Ashgrove.

Site summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an eligible community organisation or group. The facility comprises of a clubhouse, three storage sheds, and two (2) outdoor sport and recreation spaces. The clubhouse includes a bar, dining/viewing area, meeting rooms, toilets and hall. 

The land on which the facility is located is currently zoned Sport and Recreation (District) Zone in Brisbane City Plan 2014. When preparing an application, the organisation should consider whether the proposed activity is consistent with the Zone Code and if it will require a development application. The organisation will be responsible for any associated development costs based on the activities proposed in the application.

Tenure

Lease term is up to four years.

Fees and charges

The cost of rent is payable by the tenant and is outlined in Council's schedule of fees and charges. The tenant will be responsible for facility maintenance, building insurance and payment of telephone, electricity, water and rates for the community facility during the term of the lease.

The cost of preparing and registering a tenure arrangement is payable by the applicant and is outlined in Council’s schedule of fees and charges. Costs may include lease preparation, stamp duty, survey costs and titles office registration.
