Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Works will be undertaken in accordance with “Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport” (DSAPT), other relevant Australian standards and PTA guidelines. Typically, the minor station upgrade work will include the following:

  • Stairs – Remediation works to stairs where non-compliant.
  • Paving – Mainly “Tactile Ground Surface Indicators” (TGSI) pavers to be replaced/installed where non-compliant/missing.
  • Road marking – Disabled Parking Symbols where missing.
  • Railings – Replacement/Installation of non-compliant/missing handrails.
  • Painting – Mainly where high contrast yellow paint has faded on handrails and obstructions.
  • Alarm Works – Visual Evacuation Alarms missing in toilets.
  • Communications Works – Audio Loop Upgrades where required for PIMs.
  • Plumbing – Incorrect operating fittings to be replaced.
  • Lifts – Installation of contrast compliant film next to doors, where required.
  • General – Various small works such as correction of fittings in toilets to achieve compliance.
  • Provision of additional and upgraded DDA complaint seating.

A detailed Scope of Works for ten stations is provided with the tender documents. The remaining scopes of work will be provided when the panel is established and works are required to be undertaken.
