Tender Description

PURPOSE: The purpose of this tender is to engage a suitably experienced and qualified Service Provider to undertake "spray bituminous surfacing (rejuvenation)" works at various locations in the Maitland Local Government Area.
Tenders are invited to spray bituminous surfacing (rejuvenation) on seventy (70) sites within the Maitland Local Government area, with the option of an additional 7 provisional sites at Council's discretion. This will be a full service contract, including (but not limited to) preparation and road resurfacing. See the scope of works for full details.


The works to be performed under this Contract include the provision of all materials, plant and labour, and the performance of all operations and services necessary for the complete and proper undertaking of the works associated with this contract.
Practical completion is required within eight (8) weeks of possession of the sites. Once work commences, Council requires that work is continuous until the program is complete.
All documentation submitted will be treated as confidential by Council and will be assessed by an evaluation panel prior to a recommendation being made for Council's determination


INVITATION: Any person willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract is invited to submit a tender to the Council by the deadline, 2.00 pm on Wednesday 18th November 2020

PRE-TENDER MEETING: A pre-tender meeting will not be held.
TENDERERS TO NOTE: In the preparation and submission of the tender and without limiting the Tenderer's obligations, the Tenderer shall:
- submit a tender which includes all Schedules including the Tenderer's Declaration Schedule and any other declaration required completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information and details necessary to make the tender complete;
- not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed;
- not engage in any form of collusive practice;
- not directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
