Tender Description
Council requires the services of a Marine Surveyor and a Naval Architect to assist in the preparation of tender documentation for the design and build of new vessels and also to provide expertise during the tender process. Currently this expertise does not exist in-house.
The Naval Architect will assist with the development of a specification for tendering and then review tendered designs to ensure they are to specification. The Marine Surveyor will act as Council's Contract Superintendent and will assume oversight and inspection of each build process, with a primary focus on ensuring as-built compliance with approved design and specifications.
Furthermore, the Marine Surveyor will ensure that the build is managed to budget and schedule. Specialist services will also include technical advice and fleet condition inspections and reports on the current fleet as required.
