SASI - Sports Dietician

⁠⁠⁠Established in 1982, SASI was Australia's first State sports institute. SASI is a South Australian Government agency, and is a division of the Office for Recreation Sport and Racing (ORSR).

The South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) is the High Performance Sports hub in South Australia and as such conducts programs and services to identify, develop and support athletes with the potential to perform at the highest national and international levels of sport.

SASI aims to be the heart of South Australia’s sporting success. Sport Science supports SASI coaches and athletes in the pursuit of this vision by providing leading edge Sport Science & Sports Medicine services aimed at maximising training and competition outcomes. Sports Nutrition has been identified as an essential service to assist in Athlete preparation and recovery, thereby helping to maximise training and competition outcomes

The Sports Dietician will be required to provide agreed dietetic services to select SASI athletes as well as providing advice and coordinating the development and implementation of supplement related policies and procedures.

The primary outcomes of this appointment is to:

• Maximise athlete training and competition outcomes
• Ensure SASI athletes have access to an experienced sports dietitian
