Tender Description
Construction of a new flood protection wall and upgraded stopbanking on the True Right Bank of the Rangitikei River at Scotts Ferry. Specifically the work involves
Stopbank Construction (1800m Stopbank Upgrade):
- Stripping of existing stopbank and borrow footprint
- Excavation and benching in preparation for filling operations
- Winning of fill material from local borrow and haul
- Placing and compaction of fill material to form stopbank
- Testing of fill as per Contract
- Construction of access points over stopbank
- Re-spreading topsoil and grassing
Concrete Floodwall Construction (42m Cast in-situ):
- Stripping of Stopbank footprint
- Excavation for and preparation of flood wall foundations
- Construction of heel drain
- Construction of concrete flood wall.
Miscellaneous:
- Removal of fences
- Erection and removal of temporary fencing
- Reinstatement of water supply to farm troughs
- Liaison with others as required.
