KGO Home & Away Change Rooms

This project includes the design and construction of both home and away change rooms, including; male and female team showers, toilets and team strapping/treatment space. Repurposing of the current change rooms will also be a consideration which may include storage, new accessible public toilets or new change rooms for both male and female referees/game officials. The objective of the project is to provide opportunities for increasing female participation in sport and offer inclusive and accessible public amenities. The total project budget is $1.05million and will be a consideration in the process of design and costing to incorporate all aspects of the project.

It is Councils intention to provide a home and away change room facility, which represents value for money to the community. In order to achieve this, Council intends to undertake a selective tender process utilising a process similar to the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) model, which enables contractors to be involved in the early phases of the project. Council considers this approach will allow collaboration with contractors and their consultants; which may include builder, architect and other trade experts to complete a design. The intended outcome will deliver best value solutions and services to provide a suitable, fit for purpose home and away change room project.
