Tender Description
1. Supply of EPS processing machine, including:
- a. Hot melt / cold compact, brand, model, options for modifications, warranty, and maintenance
- b. Delivery and commissioning of EPS processing machine
- c. Collection of processed material
- d. Minimum hopper/ feeder size 800mm x 500mm
- e. Minimum processing capacity 50-100kg/hr– based on actual practically demonstrated production rates
- f. Surge and lightning protection
- g. Rental and/ or rent to buy options for processing machine
- h. Full technical support
2. Purchase and collection of EPS processed material, including:
- a. Guaranteed 100% buyback of processed material
- b. Agreed base tonnage rate allowing for market fluctuation, increased demand and price increases for processed EPS
- c. Options for recycling within Australia
- d. Information on where processed EPS goes
- e. Collection frequency including minimum collection requirements - including processed Polystyrene stacking dimensions and storage requirements.
- f. Transport requirements and associated costs
3. Training
The supplier will be required to provide
- a. On site user training
- b. Phone/ technical support
- c. Operator manuals
4. On-going maintenance/ servicing and technical support
- a) The supplier must forecast upcoming service requirements of processing machine and accessories and provide forewarning to Council of maintenance requirements and arrangement of suitable times for such work in consultation with Council’s Officer
- b) Should Council identify a deficiency or maintenance issue outside of the scheduled servicing periods, Council will advise the Contractor. Similarly, should the Contractor identify a deficiency or maintenance issue outside of the scheduled servicing periods, the Contractor must advise the Council Officer immediately.
Nominated council staff to telephone or email the supplier who will provide assistance via telephone, email.
5. Service Level Agreement (SLA)
The successful supplier will be required to provide an SLA outlining the goods and services, technical support and resolution times, price and warranties/guarantees on goods and services.
6. Delivery Plan
The successful supplier will be required to provide a detailed Delivery Plan outlining:
- a. A statement of requirements with a description and breakdown of deliverables and the timing of tasks the project will require.
- b. Any special requirements, such as onsite power, machine specifications including machine footprint- required area.
- c. Machine Maintenance and repair program
7. Nominated company representative
The successful supplier will be required to provide a nominated company representative for the duration of the contract.
Cost and Payment
The supplier must provide a detailed cost breakdown for goods and services, including cost of machine rental and/or rent to buy options.
- a. Agreed base tonnage rate allowing for market fluctuation and increased demand for processed EPS.
- b. Rebate options (if any) for processed EPS
