Tender Description
Waratah-Wynyard Council are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for interested individuals to participate in a series of collaborative workshops to help determine if a community centre at Sisters Beach is viable.
Accepted EOI’s will be invited to participate in a community stakeholder group, who will work with council to determine:
- If there is a justification for a community centre, based on evidence and community insight regarding existing demand.
- If there is an indication of demand, highlight the possible functions of the facility.
- If there is an indication of demand, identify a preferred operating model for how the facility might be managed.
It is anticipated that the community stakeholder group would participate in 3-4, one hour long workshops commencing in early October 2020.
Further opportunities for involvement may be identified during the workshops. Any pre-reading will be summarised and provided to participants prior to workshops, as required.
The information obtained from the community stakeholder group will inform the Sisters Beach Community Centre Feasibility Study which will be presented to the Council for a decision in approximately March 2021.
