Tender Description
Council is currently seeking expression of interest from local community members and key stakeholders in within Normanton, Karumba and surrounding Cattle Stations to develop an advisory community-led Local Disaster Recovery Group.
The aim of the Local Disaster Recovery Group is to share information, to network and to identify the community needs for local recovery and build resilience within the Carpenteria Shire.
This can be achieved by:
- Community consultation and feedback.
- Recommend, plan and implement actions to assist local recovery and community wellbeing with the Shire.
- Providing communication channels to the community and stakeholders.
- Ensure cohesion by providing a platform to work together.
- Building community capacity to recover from natural disaster more effectively.
- Co-ordination of regular meetings.
