Tenders are invited for the Tree Planting and Establishment Service.

The tree planting and establishment services required under this contract include:

•  Receive and temporarily store tree stock procured by Council.
•  Procure suitable tree stock, on occasion and as directed by Council.
•  Undertake hard stand cut outs (eg. asphalt or concrete footpaths or roads), where required, to facilitate new tree plantings.
•  Prepare planting sites
•  Plant new trees and install water wells, stakes, ties and mulch
•  Provide each newly planted tree with an initial watering
•  Provide each newly planted tree with an initial formative prune where required
•  Notify adjacent residents as directed by Council using a Council supplied notification postcard
•  Clean planting site and return to a safe, clean and accessible condition

As tasked by Council, the contractor must:

•  Undertake watering of newly planted and young trees on a regular basis, as agreed with Council, for a period of two years to ensure long term tree health, structure, shape and amenity. 
•  Undertake other maintenance activities, as required, to ensure optimal growth, health and presentation of newly planted and young trees.
•  Replace any poorly established or dead trees under the age of two years (excluding vandalized or damaged trees).

NOTE: The online forum closes five business days prior to the abovementioned tender closing date. Council reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any Tender, or part thereof. Tenders received after the closing time will not be considered.
