Tender ID: 430705
Tender Details
Tender Description
The District Council of Ceduna (the Council) invites tenders from individuals or organisations for the supply and installation of 4 aerators within the reactor tanks at the Ceduna Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.
Ceduna is located on the western coast of South Australia, approximately 786km northwest of Adelaide.
The existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) type and was installed in early 2010’s by Factor UTB to treat effluent captured by the Ceduna Community Wastewater Management Scheme (CWMS).
The District Council of Ceduna (Council) have advised that two of the four existing aerators within the reactor tanks are not operational and all four aerators have reached the end of their design life and require replacement.
Furthermore, replacement works for these aerators are time-critical, as sludge build-up within the tank due to lack of biological processes may damage existing tank liners.
Council are requesting tenders for the decommissioning and removal offsite of the existing four aerators within the Ceduna CWMS WWTP and replacement with suitable, like-for-like aerators to ensure that treatment requirements are met.
The contractor is to manage the safe removal of existing aerators and the installation of new aerators in accordance with WHS requirements.
Following the commissioning of the new aerators, the contractor is to demonstrate that the aerators are operating suitably to meet the required Oxygen Transfer Rates.
