Tender Description

ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. The Council is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service to the local community.

Northern Beaches Council is working closely with the community to build strategies that enhance our quality of life, promote sustainable development and protect our environment.

SERVICE REQUIRED:

As part of the 2020/2021 Capital Works Program, Council is implementing the Dee Why Town Centre Masterplan and Streetscape Upgrades.

Council is seeking quotes from suitably qualified contractors to carry out the following outline scope of works at St David Avenue Park, Dee Why:

Earthworks required to achieve the design finished surface levels.
Construction of new drainage infrastructure including pipes, pits, grates and subsoil drainage.
Construction of all hard landscape works including concreting, kerb and gutter, paving, stairs, ramps, decking structure, sandstone walls, steps and retaining structures.
Supply and installation of new park/street furniture including seating, handrails, tree grates, drinking fountain and lighting.
Supply and installation of all soft landscaping including soils, mulches, plants, trees and understorey vegetation.
Maintenance of soft landscaping and plantings
Supply and installation of lighting and electrical
Relocation of electrical, water and sewer services
Design, supply and installation of an automatic irrigation system and water supply

The works are to be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements in this document. To have quotes considered, contractors will need to ensure that all required information requested in the Request for Quotation document is provided.

SITE BRIEFING:

A Site briefing will be held on Tuesday 8th September 2020 at St David Avenue Park Dee Why cnr Pittwater Road at 10.00am. Tenderers should ensure they review the quote documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing. (See Part A5 - Conditions of Tender for details).

LODGEMENT:

Submissions should be lodged in the electronic tender box or in the physical tender box at Northern Beaches Council, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099 by the time and date nominated. Late submissions may not be accepted.

REGISTRATION:

Documents must be obtained after registration on the e-tendering portal which is free .
