Water Reticulation Cleaning

⁠⁠⁠The original reticulation was constructed more than 50 years ago and mainly comprises cast iron and asbestos cement pipes. Some of the sections have been replaced with new uPVC pipes in recent years. The scope of work is the cleaning of all the town water reticulation pipes. The total length of pipe in the Cobar reticulation network is 75km.

The Scope of Works for the Contract will involve:

Proposal of suitable cleaning program.

Supply of all equipment & consumables for the selected cleaning process and completion of cleaning program for 75km of water mains.

Informing consumers well in advance of works.

Minimising interruption to consumers’ water supply.

Informing relevant authorities.

Implementation of approved and effective traffic management systems.

Disposal of any wastes in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Demonstration of performance and quality of potable water of the reticulation after the cleaning program.

Qualifications, skills & relevant expertise of the personnel nominated to be involved in the project.

Tenders will be assessed against the following criteria:

Tender price (based on fixed Lump Sum price).

A demonstrated understanding of the scope of works.

Proposed cleaning methodology.

Proven background & experience in this type of work.

Proven experience in working with Local Water Utilities in NSW.

Financial & commercial capability.
