Provision of Laboratory Services

⁠⁠⁠This Request for Information is an information gathering process in which Hunter Water seeks feedback from the market regarding their capacity and capability to establish a local Laboratory Service that will meet Hunter Water's requirements.

Hunter Water requires a Laboratory Service Provider with the skills and experience to undertake the services to meet Hunter Water's monitoring requirements under the Operating Licence and assist in managing the operations of the assets and water quality.

Hunter Water, on an average, typically requires the Service Provider to collect about 1,800 samples per month, of which about 15% of the samples are to be collected on an ad-hoc basis. Sampling frequencies could vary significantly for different locations for example daily, every 6 days, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual. Hunter Water, on an average, typically requires the Service Provider to perform about 16,000 tests per month, of which about 15% of the tests are required to be performed on an ad-hoc basis.
