The Transitional Housing Program has been designed to create a pathway between social housing and the private housing market by providing stable and affordable housing, along with access to tailored support services for eligible persons in employment or training.  

In 2012, the East Kimberley Transitional Housing Program was launched in Kununurra and delivered 40 newly constructed transitional houses, and in 2015 this was expanded to include 15 transitional houses in Halls Creek. In 2018, funding was committed to deliver an additional 50 transitional houses in the East Kimberley region through to June 2021.  

The proposed Request will be for the provision of Support Services and Property and Tenancy Management Services for the Transitional Housing Program in Kununurra, Halls Creek and Wyndham.
