Septic Tank Desludging - Zones 2, 3 & Smoky Bay 2021/22

⁠⁠⁠The District Council of Ceduna (the Council) invites tenders from individuals or organisations for the provision of Septic Tank Desludging in Zone 2 Ceduna and Smoky Bay plus listed commercial properties in 2020/21 and Zone 3 plus listed commercial properties in 2021/22 (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

The District Council of Ceduna aims to protect the integrity of its township Common Wastewater Management System, thus ensuring their efficient and sanitary operation.

The objectives of the works to be undertaken in respect of this contract are:-

a) Provide Council with such details that will enable it to locate septic tanks on properties having connection to the township Common Effluent Drainage Schemes;
b) To remove the biosolids content of septic tanks from properties identified by Council having connection to the township Septic Tank Effluent Drainage Scheme.
c) To provide for the transportation and sanitary disposal of septic tank biosolids.

The works required to be undertaken in respect of this contract includes:

a) The location of septic tanks on properties requiring service and provision of a mud map of the location on the property if none already exists.
b) To remove the biosolids content from the septic tank.
c) Replace and reseal the septic tank cover.
d) Transportation of biosolids to disposal site – Ceduna & Smoky Bay
e) Provide for the sanitary disposal of biosolids waste onto farmland in a manner approved by The District Council of Ceduna and other relevant authorities.
