Mount Gambier Regional Airport Security Fencing

⁠⁠⁠2.1 District Council of Grant (the Council) invites Tenders from Tenderers for the provision of construction works associated with the supply and installation of security fencing at the Mount Gambier Regional Airport. The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

A site inspection would be recommended for this project. Please contact the nominated person as identified in this tender document to arrange a site visit.

2.2 The Mount Gambier Regional Airport is located 10 kilometres north of the City of Mount Gambier township on the Riddoch Highway, Wandilo.

Currently the Mount Gambier Regional Airport is undergoing a $9.2M upgrade which includes extending runway 18/36, constructing a heavy aircraft apron, upgrading the airfield lighting and power supply and building a brand new state of the art terminal. This project is funded by the Federal Government, State Government, District Council of Grant and the City of Mount Gambier.

In 2005 Council installed security fencing around the perimeter of the airside component of the airport as a result of increasing security threats to airports internationally and domestically.

2.3 There is currently 3.7 kilometres of security fencing installed, however
